Ace the Track Warrant Control Test 2026 – Steer Clear to Success!

The main idea is that Box 12 is the dispatcher’s official place to record only critical, system-generated messages or specific instructions that are necessary for the train to operate safely and efficiently. This ensures there is a clear, time-stamped record of guidance that directly affects how the train moves, such as automated messages or exact instructions about signals, speed restrictions, or track changes. Using Box 12 for routine maintenance updates or general notes would clutter the log and could create confusion, since those items aren’t essential to the immediate safe operation of the train. Departures aren’t a trigger for Box 12 unless there is a specific operational instruction tied to that departure; otherwise, other logs or procedures handle that information.
